So how many of you are there ?

Okay so I have this strange , strange obsession about my name. Its weird like I dont want other people to have it . I mean pretty much all of my life I have been the only Sam or Samantha. I mean its nice. I dont have to be Samantha A . I am just Samantha or Sam cuz I am normally the only one. I had this job once where I was not the only one. There was another Samantha or Sammantha . We were total opossites and I mean opposite. From the way we looked to personality . No one called her Sam so I was Sam and she was Sammantha, she left before I did so I got to go back to being the only Samantha. Where I work now , there are more than 1 of us Samanthas but I dont know them and we dont work in the same areas or departments. So again I am the only Sam or Samantha once again . So I thought let me see just how many Samantha A's there are in the US and by god there quite a few of us .

Then I started to think maybe I am not so selfish about my name there are some cool Samantha's out there , there is Samantha Stevens ( pictured above) I mean who doesnt want a witch as friend or as a wife or mom. Samantha Fox , though I did hear that she was doing some adult entertainment so I do not know how much we would have in common right now. There is Samantha Mumba , shes a Irish singer. Samantha Morton , she is an actress in one of my favorite Movies , In America. Ohh and then there is that show Samantha Who ?, I kinda like it . There was even a character on Saved by the Bell named Samantha. Okay okay it was Saved By the Bell the New Class. Hey there is even an American Girl doll named Samantha. So I guess it is not so bad to share.

So I have been 28 for three months and I am trying to figure out the difference between 28 and 27 ,so far they seem to be the same. I really haven't noticed any difference except for the fact that I am one year closer to being 30 . Which I guess isn't a bad thing ......I just would rather not talk about it to much because sometimes it makes me want to cry , the whole thought of getting old. I once said that I was looking forward to being 30 or Grown and Sexy as the youngins are calling it now. I do think that there is something great about being 30 or so I have heard . So here are something that I think that I will resolve to "get over" so to speak by the time I have turned 30 years old .

The way I look or don't look : I mean once your 30 does it really matter what you look like I mean you have probably looked the same or almost the same for 30 years of your life right , so get over it you are either ugly, cute, pretty , fine, hot or whatever you may want to call yourself.

Getting Taller :By 30 you should have accepted the fact that you are not getting any taller . I mean if that growth spurt has not hit yet then you damn sure out of luck.

My personality : Yep its a keeper , it hasn't changed as most of you know or can tell , its not gonna , so suck it up I have .

Spelling: Yep I am spelling challenged. I went to college but obviously that was not an issue , I have managed to have my share of jobs where spelling was important and still managed to keep the job even though I could not spell to save my life.

So what about you have you decided is probably ot gonna change by the time that you turn 30 , or if you already have turned 30 what about you have you resolved to get over ?

Back in the day .......

Okay I am sorry but I had to do this. Is it just me or does everyone love Saved By the Bell . Some Saturdays I still find it hard to leave the house until I have seen Saved By the Bell. I mean I really used to love that show I guess I still kinda love it . I still watch it at least every other week , yeah I said it I still watch at least 1 time every two weeks, yeah I know that is a strange schedule but that is what it is . I am watching it right now. This is the episode where they do the rap version of Snow White and the 7 drawfs, Jessi is totally trying to make out with Zach right now . It was one of those shows where you always knew what was gonna happened. I mean if there was a cute black guy on the show then you already knew that meant that Lisa was gonna go on a date and Screech would get jealous. If it involved some sort of Pep Rally then Slater , I mean Albert Clifford would be the star of the football team , if there was a need for comic relief Screech would walk in the door. Ohh and that Zach , to fine to be mine , yeah I said it , so what I can admit that I love me some Zach Morris. Remember the episode where Lisa's mother did surgery on Zach's knee and he that weird dream? Or the episode where Zach and Lisa kissed . Remember when Kelly brought her baby brother to school and she kept him in a duffel bag all day ? Or when Slaters sister came to town . Okay maybe I have watched more episodes then I thought . Why was it that they could always do everything , they could rap and sing , they were a group and sang " Friends Forever " . Cable is candy for the brain , to think I didnt have it for 4 months, what would I have done if I couldnt see Saved By the Bell everyday ? Man those were the days when you woke up on Saturday and the only thing that you had to do was clean you room and see what Zach and them were up to.

Yeah and dont act like you didnt see that picture of the five flyest white boys in the world, yeah I said it NKOTB , the one , the only NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK . Yeah there baaaacccckkk . I kinda like their new song. I know I know I know . I cant help it I kinda like or liked them I am not sure which yet , I am still trying to determine if I am to old to like them . I saw Jordan Knight once at an NSYC concert. I was soooo proud to say that I saw him, your damn right I told people I still tell people. They look at me strange because why would a damn near 30 year old black woman want to listen to them ? I mean I thought I would never get the chance to see them or him or whatver you know what I mean . Even though everyone thought that he was gay ,well that is easy to believe since he has that great falsetto voice and hits all those high notes so easily . Okay so maybe they are not the five flyest white boys in the world I would save that for the other five flyest white boys in the world ........Menudo , just kidding ! Bare with me . I needed to go back in time for a few mins. Well I hope that you enjoyed this brief trip back in time, I hope you too have fond memories NKOTB and SAVED BY THE BELL like I do .

Someone's in the kitchen

Okay so I have never really been much of a cook or a speller , or a swimmer or a runner well the point for this particular blog is that I have never been a great cook. When growing up my mom used to always tell me that I should learn to cook because when I got married my husband would want to eat and so would my kids. So I don't cook! To think I could have wasted all that time learning to cook for no good reason ( I am not married nor do I have children) , lucky me .I tried to make lasagna yesterday and well it didn't turn out right. I thought that it would be good , who messes up lasagna ? Well that would be me ! So as I was cooking the lasagna , I turned on the food channel for inspiration and Paula Deen was cooking lasagna too! Hers looked way better than mine. She put her gigantic piece of lasagna in between two pieces of bread and ate it like a sandwich . I was intrigued yet horrified, but I kept watching. The only reason that I didn't try it myself was cuz I didn't get any bread while I was at the store. I know, I know, this week I am talking about a lasagna sandwich and next week I am talking about weight watchers. I know its a crazy circle , such is my life. When I lived with my cousin I set her smoke detector off regularly just making bacon. I mean I regularly burn popcorn , and yes I mess up lemonade and tea , I always use to much or not enough sugar. I am pretty sure I have burnt my share of microwave meals and managed to mess up rice and pasta and pretty much anything but a sandwich . Anyways I just thought that I would share . I cant cook , but I can eat , so I am good for something ! Okay so I have two questions : 1. What can you cook or not cook . 2. Is it possible to get a job as a professional eater and if so who's hiring ?

THE FIRST OF MANY

Okay so I decided to start a blog , I have blogged before and it was very helpful so I though why pay money for therapy when you can just blog and get it all out there. So first thing is first. Why do this , well like I said I found that it is sometimes helpful when you write things out and look at them and then realize that your crazy and then keep moving forward. Anways, so my inspiration for todays blog is the new PCD (Pussy Cat Dolls) song when I grow up. Yeah I know its ridiculous that I actually like this song but I do . So I was thinking what did I want to be when I grew up . Well to be honest all I knew is that I wanted to be successful. The questions is have I done that ? I dont know , I mean I have managed to stay out of jail , off crack and employed for the time being. I know for a fact that I did not want to be famous , or a star or any of that stuff, I dont know if stars come from Riverside , CA . What did you want to be when you grew up and did you actually do it ?
